Chocolate, lemon or pistachio ice cream: put them all aside, and surprise your tastebuds with something very different. Like home-made ice cream with - drumroll please - rosemary from your own herb garden. Herbs in your ice cream? Delicious!

How to make a tasty scoop

You will need:

  • 2 cups of thick double cream
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 3 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 cup of full-fat milk
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

This will make about 1.3 litres of ice cream, which you will obviously share with family, visitors and neighbours, and not just secretly guzzle yourself. You can find out how to make the rosemary ice cream at Cooknourishbliss.com.
