Alocasia, our Houseplant of the Month for September has made a cozy jungle of west elm’s London Flagship store over the past few weeks.

As September draws to an end and we need to make space for our next Houseplant arriving at west elm this October, we will be hosting a special pop-up Market Day in-store this Saturday. On Saturday 23 September, you will be able to purchase the range of plants that's been on display between, 10am and 4pm, or while stocks last, so get there early!

 

Jungles and superstars

Alocasia, a tropical superstar, has been on display in west elm to inspire shoppers to greenify their homes and consider plants as part of their interior design, instead of just an afterthought, when shopping among west elm's Brooklyn-inspired interiror ranges.

The display was installed by Ian Drummond, and sits alongside west elm's latest Autumn collections and in their new season's planters.

Ian Drummond, author of At Home with Plants and silver medal winner at this year's Chelsea Flower Show, has sourced a selection of top quality Alocasia plants in a wide range of varieties. The ever-popular Alocasia x amazonica, 'Polly', Colocasia (also known as 'Giant Elephant Ear plant'), Bambino Arrow (known for its distinctive, sharp leaves) and many more varieties will be available to purchase.

Saturday 23 September is an ideal opportunity to get your hands on this hard to find houseplant, so pop into west elm's Tottenham Court Road store between 10am and 4pm. We will lalso have a plant expert on hand to answer any plnat-related conundrums you may have. 

There's a tropical superstar to match everyone's taste, and we will prove that there is always room for one more plant in your urban jungle at home.
