An ideal way to get more greenery in your life, keep plants away from curious paws, and give light-loving plants a plentiful supply of natural light. They also look pretty damn stylish and the best part is, thanks to this simple DIY project from Design Sponge, you don’t need to be a DIY demon to create and put up your own.

What you’ll need…

  • Measuring tape
  • Painter’s tape
  • Acrylic shelf
  • Acrylic square rod “brackets” (These are not traditional brackets, but are easy to install and support the shelf like a traditional bracket would.)
  • 9/64 drill bit
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Spirit level
  • Sheet metal screws (6 x 1 ¼)
