how to do it

New plants can be grown from stems or leaves of a "mother plant". How easy is that? You can make as many brothers and sisters for your plant as you like. Cut off the stem and leaf of the plant. Use a sharp knife or scissors. It's important to make sure your tools are clean because this prevents bacteria and diseases from spreading. You can put the cuttings in water.

Fill the vases with fresh water and put the leaves with only the stem in the water. Make sure no leaves get into the water because they could rot. Keep an eye on your new plants through the glass - watching roots grow is like watching a living work of art. With a combination of different sizes of glasses, you really make a moment of this. You can also take cuttings directly into the soil. This promotes growth and prevents rotting.

Put the cutting in a warm, light place and wait until roots appear. When the roots have sprouted, you can place them into soil. Give them enough love and water and in a few months you will have a healthy and extended maranta family of your own. The new plants are great to give away, but you can also keep them all!
