Want to get started? Watch the video about the Spanish florist Manuela. When you’re inspired, follow the steps shown below. Have fun!

Step 1: the wire base

Create a rectangular base made up of several lengths of wire. Do this by bending a longer piece, not by cutting off separate pieces. When you then bend the rectangular base round, the circle needs to fit around your head without the ends quite meeting. We will finish the crown later with ribbon; that will ensure that it fits.

Step 2: flower tape

Wrap all the wire in flower tape, creating an instant cheerful effect.

Step 3: get to work with the flowers

Select your favourite flowers, or flowers in colours to match your dream outfit. The flowers have to be sturdy and fresh. Leave a small piece of stem on the flower, place this on the wire and secure it with flower tape. Vary the size and colour of the flowers and the foliage to create an extraordinary natural effect.

Step 4: finishing touch with ribbons

Finally attach ribbons to the ends of the crown. You tie these together once you’ve placed the crown on your head, so that it fits like a dream. Choose ribbons that perfectly match your floaty summer dress or which contrast with the colour of the flowers, for instance. Fabulous!
