The first week of January has passed, so the Christmas decorations really need to come down now. Yes, they really do. But if you’re not careful, you’ve thrown out your New Year’s resolutions along with the unwanted tree. And that’s why we’re going to combine the inspirational and the green. Fill the empty spot in your home with leaves and notes. Create a green reminder of all your resolutions!
How to make the resolutions plant
It doesn’t really matter what plant you use: you can opt for either large or medium. One with a meaning, or just a visual delight. With colour, or in simple green. Obviously you do need to find it so beautiful that you regularly look at it. Write your resolutions on some attractive paper, scribble all over sheets of A4 or print them out with motivational images. Simply secure the notes to the plant with ribbons.
A plant for everyone
Why stop at just a single resolutions plant? Let your imagination run wild! Bringing greenery into an open plan office in order to motivate your colleagues to stick to their resolutions for longer than a fortnight. Give your friends a plant full of notes as a sign of support. Create a ‘let’s all stick to this’ plant together with your family - possibly with an empty piggybank next to it that will be filled with ‘oops, we slipped’ coins. And make one for yourself, that wakes you up with its cheerful leaves when you have a moment of weakness. We bet that everyone will still be sticking to their resolutions halfway through 2017. Good luck!
