The first week of January has been and gone. If you’re not careful, you’ll find you accidentally dropped your New Year's Resolutions off at the recycling along with the Christmas tree. It's why we’ve thought to combine the inspirational and the green in a new intention-setting tree that's perfect for January. Fill the empty spot in your home with leaves and notes, and ceate a green reminder of all your resolutions.
How to make the resolutions plant
It doesn’t really matter what plant you use: large or medium will work just as well. It can either be meaningful, to remind you of its importance, or a visual delight which means you'll keep stopping to admire it. Write your resolutions on some attractive paper, and doodle some motivational quotes or images to accompany them. Then simply secure the notes to the plant with ribbons.
A plant for everyone
You don't have to keep this innovative way of keeping track of your goals to yourself. Let your imagination run wild: bring greenery into an open plan office and motivate your colleagues to stick to their resolutions for longer than a fortnight. Give your friends a plant full of notes as a sign of support, or create a ‘let’s all stick to this’ plant together with your family. And make one for yourself, that catches your gaze with its cheerful leaves when you feel yourself slipping. With a plant that's got your back, we bet that everyone will still be sticking to their resolutions halfway through 2020. Good luck!
