A CARE-FREE SUMMER WITH THE GARDEN PLANTS FOR AUGUST

Green sun worshippers

August is not a month when you want to spend a lot of time gardening. You may be on holiday, and if you are at home it’s often too hot for working hard in the garden. A quartet who can look after themselves are therefore very welcome. Agave, Aeonium and jade plant (Crassula) are succulents that store moisture in their leaves, whilst eucalyptus can cope pretty well with heat and drought thanks to its oil-bearing properties. Together they offer an attractive grey-green palette for a sun-soaked summer mood that fits better with ‘enjoying the garden’ than ‘working in the garden’.
