Ivy lampshade
The Photosynthesis Lamp (2010) consists of a metal framework in which you can place an ivy (or other plant). As it grows, the plant creates a natural lampshade out of foliage. A smart idea! Do use an energy-saving bulb, since your plant will prefer it and you will also be helping the environment! Useful to know: the lamp is 38 cm tall and has a diameter of 45 cm.

Photosynthesis - how it works
What happens with photosynthesis is that under the influence of light (in this case the light from the bulb) your plant converts carbon dioxide, water and light into sugar and oxygen. The plant releases this oxygen through its leaves. Your ivy therefore removes nasty substances from the air and converts them into fresh air, so that you feel better.
